As promised, today I’m going to share the templates I used for the 1 Corinthians 13: 4 – 8 Valentine’s Day art. I started with a 12 x 9 inch artist canvas that I got at 60% off at AC Moore a few weeks ago.
I created a document in Word with the text of 1 Corinthians 13, the Love Chapter in the Bible. At the end of this post is a jpeg for that document. Print this text document on both the front and back of ivory cardstock. This is the paper that is used for the three dimensional hearts.
I created a second document with the heart shapes and that jpeg is also found below. Once you print the text on both sides of your ivory cardstock, use this script paper to print the heart document. Once the outlines are printed on the script paper, just cut each heart.
Finally, I created a third document in Word for the “heading 1 Corinthians 13:4-8” and the “1 Corinthians 13:4-8 text” at the bottom of the piece. Again, the jpeg can be found below. Print this text document on ivory cardstock and cut out using the guide lines.
Once you have your heading and text printed and cut out, center them on your canvas. Make sure you leave enough space in between for the hearts. I used double face tape to secure the heading and text boxes to the canvas.
The final step is to add the hearts. Fold each heart vertically as shown. Starting with the largest size heart, run a bead of hot glue down the back fold seam and secure in the center of the empty space between the heading and text. In the same way, add the middle sized heart on top of the large heart and finally, add the smallest heart. Repeat for the two hearts on either side of the center heart.
This project is soooo easy and now you have the jpeg files to print and cut to make your own! Have fun!
