In the Pages of a Magazine

I’m having a real “pinch me” moment!  My little home is in a magazine – Country Sampler’s Special Christmas Edition!  There are 8 wonderful pages of photos from my 2014 holiday home in the magazine along with a lovely article about my Christmas decorating style.

The photos were shot while my Christmas decorations were up last year for THIS season’s special Christmas issue!  I’ve had such a hard time not sharing all the excitement with you, but knew I should wait for the reality of seeing the magazine in print!   It’s been especially hard to keep quiet this past month, because I received a few complimentary preview copies from the editor of Country Sampler before the magazine hit the newsstands!  Today, I finally saw the magazine for sale at Barnes and Noble!  I was there to buy a copy of the new Young House Love book, but couldn’t help swinging by the newsstand area to see if it was out yet.

And, there it was, right next to Country Living – I had to take a picture of it on the shelf!  I’m sure the lady browsing the other magazines must have thought I was crazy!

I have to thank the editor of Country Sampler, Susan Wagner, for the amazing article, which includes shout outs to my blog!  She even shared some specific DIY’s from my blog that weren’t part of our interview or specific to Christmas!    I couldn’t be more thrilled!

Also, a HUGE thank you to the wonderful team of Gridley and Graves photographers.  Anne and Gary were amazing and I learned a lot the day they spent here photographing my home.   Those things that really make an image pop off the page!   It was such a fun day for me!

This is a dream come true and it is something that was made possible by this little blog.  I’ve always loved decorating my home – ask my close friends and family!  But, having a place to share it with other people who have the same passion – well it’s been a wonderful journey with all of you!   Thank you for sharing it with me!
