This acorn necklace is the perfect accessory for your fall wardrobe! It’s something brand new in my Etsy shop for fall! And, it’s packaged with a sweet scripture card, an oak leaf necklace card, all tucked inside a linen bag, which also makes it a great gift!
So, this is something brand new for me! When I opened my Etsy shop, my focus was on home decor pieces with a reference to song lyrics or a well known quote. But, why not have a piece of jewelry that reminds you of a verse or quote? So, I created this little acorn necklace for fall!
The acorn is a symbol of strength. From one tiny acorn, a mighty oak grows. When I think of strength, this verse comes to mind: She is clothed in strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future. Proverbs 31:25. The acorn is also a symbol of new life, so acorn pieces are often gifted to new or expectant mothers. Aside from the symbolism, I really love wearing nature inspired pieces.
I wanted this necklace to be affordable for everyone! So, I made this little necklace in brass, rather than sterling silver or gold. Each necklace is made by hand. The dainty brass chain is 18″ long and the links are all soldered together. The chain has a lobster claw clasp. The acorn charm is 19 mm x 12 mm. The smaller pinecone charm is 7 mm x 13 mm. And, the pieces have a slight oxidized finish that gives the necklace a vintage feel.
THE PERFECT FALL ACCESSORY
I’ve been wearing this necklace nonstop since the beginning of September. I wore it for a while because I wanted to make sure it didn’t tarnish before selling them. And, I’m pretty impressed! I haven’t noticed any tarnish, except a tiny bit on the lobster claw clasp. And, it’s just a small amount. Otherwise, the necklace looks the same after one month of daily wear. Now, I was careful not to get the necklace wet and keep it away from any perfume. And, I did take it off at night.
I wanted to package this acorn necklace in a special way. So, I created an oak leaf necklace card to hold the necklace. And, I also created a little scripture card featuring Proverbs 31:25. Both will be tucked inside a little 3.5″ x 4.5″ linen drawstring bag. I think this could be a sweet little gift for girlfriends, daughters, nieces, etc. Or, you could place one on each girl’s place setting at Thanksgiving.
Now, for the most important part – how much does it cost? I’m selling this little necklace in my Etsy shop for $15, plus the cost of shipping. If you like this one, I already have an idea in mind for a Christmas/winter charm necklace! So, I’m anxious to hear if this is something you like! All the items I sell in my Etsy shop are handmade by me and help me with the expenses of my blog. So, I really appreciate every purchase!
