In case you missed the first post of the bridal shower, you can find it HERE.
So, here are a few more of the details from Sarah’s Bride to BEE shower.
First up – the candy and snack bar. I just used clear glass containers that I had on hand and filled with yellow candies – gum balls, yellow butter mints, and lemon drops.
I made a Honey Crunch snack mix – which I made up, but it turned out to be really good!
The ingredients are:
1 box Honey Comb cereal
1 can butter toffee peanuts
1 bag yellow M& M’s
1 bag vanilla yogurt covered raisons
We played a fun game – “Love is Sweet”. Because we didn’t use tables at the shower, I needed something that guests could write on. I purchased 12 x 12 pieces of kraft paper chip board at Michaels (found with the other 12 x 12 scrapbook paper). I cut each one into fours and then cut down my game page to fit and attached each game page with a colorful paperclip (pack of colorful paperclips found at The Dollar Tree).
Here’s a printable for you for the game page that I made. and the answer sheet is below that. I purchased the candy on the answer sheet and had it on a wicker tray. I had the “Bride to Bee” tell the guests what candies were on the tray and then I walked the tray around the room a few times, so the guests could get more looks at the different candies. Everyone seemed to really like this game and then I left the sweets for the groom!
Finally, to thank my friends who were such a huge help to me that day – I gave them each a bright yellow mum that they can enjoy for the fall season. I made these honeycomb shaped cards and hot glued the card to a small dowel rod and placed it in the plant.
I actually have one more final post on the shower – and then I promise I’ll be moving on to fall decor! I’ll be back later today at 6 p.m. with the Find Your Voice Friday Party! This is a fun party for newbie bloggers to link up their best projects! I hope to see some new bloggers this week! There were some great projects linked up from last week’s party that I’ll be sharing at 6 p.m. Hope to see you then!
