Anthropologie Inspired Corn Husk Wreath

Do you have a Fall wreath for your  front door?  Don’t go to the store and buy one off the shelf!  Today I’m going to show you how to make a knock off of an Anthropologie corn husk wreath that I fell in love with on their website.

This is a basic corn husk wreath that (can you believe) they sell for $58!  Now, here’s my version!

And, the best part – you only need two items to make this wreath.  The first is a package of corn husks from the grocery store!  Here’s a picture of the corn husk package I purchased.  They can be found in the international section of most grocery stores for about $7.50.  I used almost the entire package on my wreath.

The other thing you will need is a twig base for your wreath.  Here’s what I did.  I had a wreath from a few years ago that had fall yellow sunflowers flowers on it.  I just removed the flowers from the twig base and reused the base for this wreath. If you don’t have a wreath that you can repurpose, then use a 50% off coupon for the craft store to buy a twig wreath to use as your base.

The first thing you need to do is tear the corn husks into 1 inch strips.

Begin hot gluing the strips onto the wreath base starting at the inside circle.   Glue each strip overtop and slightly overlapping the strip before as shown below.

Continue the whole way around the wreath and then continue with a second row, and so on, until the entire wreath is covered.
