This week was the Fall Ideas Tour and I know how busy it is during the week, so I wanted to share all of the links here again today. There were so many great easy fall ideas shared by my blogging friends and I hope you have some down time this weekend to stop by each one. I really loved how this tour was broken down into categories each day! I’ve shared some of my favorites for each category below, but I really would encourage you to visit each one because they are packed full of fun and easy fall ideas! After the tour links, I’ve included a fall decorating tip that you can use as you decorate your home for fall.
Monday – Mantels
This mantel belongs to The Chelsea Project and I love the orange and teal combination and her use of an original photograph she took last fall. Such a pretty layered fall mantel and it would be easy to replicate this look in your own home.
Decorating Takeaway: Use this mantel design as a guide to create a layered look mantel or shelf in your own home with what you have!
Tuesday – Tablescapes
This striking tablescape from Vin’yet Etc. is gorgeous! I call this rustic glam! The gold and black combination is something that I am absolutely crushing on lately and you will be seeing more of it in my own home tour next week!
Decorating Takeaway: Create that layered look on your table by using a tablecloth and runner – charger and stacked plates in alternating colors. So beautiful!
Wednesday – Wreaths
This is just one of several examples that Worthing Court shared to make a DIY Fall wreath is just 30 minutes!
Decorating Takeaway: Mimic the designs shared, but make it your own by using fall flowers and berries in your favorite fall hues! Don’t like those traditional fall colors – make a striking black and white wreath or one with soft shades of aqua and gold! The sky is the limit!
Thursday – Printables
On Sutton Place created these pretty printable recipe cards that are perfect for all of those cool weather specialty dishes and desserts!
Decorating Takeaway: Bake up a fall quick bread, wrap it up, tie a pretty bow around it and attach one of these pretty, printable recipe cards. This would make such a thoughtful fall treat for a neighbor, school bus driver, hairdresser, Sunday School teacher – you name it!
Friday – Porches
This “plum crazy” fall front porch by Houspitality Designs had me at PLUM! I love that plum shade in fall mums and the double oval wreaths on the front door are gorgeous in shades of plum and gold!
Decorating Takeaway: Again, don’t limit your fall decorating to orange and black! Think outside the box when it comes to your fall decor! See a pretty colored mum you love – use that color choice to set the tone for the rest of your fall decor.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little recap of all the easy fall ideas that were shared this week! I hope you have a great weekend. Of course, we are all watching Irma as she approaches Florida! Praying for all those affected by this terrible storm.
