Today I have a yummy quick bread recipe that is just perfect for these cold and blustery winter days with a cup of coffee or tea. This recipe was given to me by my mother-in-law at my bridal shower (my family had asked each person coming to bring a special recipe for me). Mark and I got married very young – we were both 20. We didn’t have a lot of money, especially at Christmas time. So, to have a gift for coworkers, neighbors, and grandparents; I made this cinnamon quick bread and wrapped it in a pretty package.
I made it for years until one year we actually DID have enough money to get “real” gifts for my grandparents and great aunts, etc. To my surprise, they were all disappointed and asked if I could still make them a loaf of cinnamon bread and told me how much they looked forward to it each year!
I also made this a lot when the boys were younger. But, as the years have gone by, I’ve gotten away from making it. Recently, in my attempts to get organized, I was going through my recipe cards, sorting through them and getting rid of one’s I never use. I came upon this one and decided it had been too long since I made it and decided to share it with you too. I hope you like it as much as we do!
I also made a cute little tag that you could use if you’d like to gift this to a family member or neighbor. I printed mine out on card stock at 50%. You may have to play around with your print settings for your particular printer to get it the size you want.
Don’t forget to pin this cinnamon swirl quick bread to your recipe board!

Is that plain flour or self-rising in the recipe? I can't wait to make this. It looks delicious!

Thanks for the quick reply! I was able to make it last night and it was delicious and so easy to stir together. I gave my neighbor a loaf and she loved it too.

Actually, after I posted my comment, all pictures had the option. Not until though. Strange.
