I got the idea from this little journal I purchased at Marshall’s. I loved the quote on the front from Henry David Thoreau and thought it would be a perfect chalkboard quote for a graduate.
So, I designed a printable chalkboard that you can either print on your home printer and frame in an 8″ x 10″ frame or have it enlarged like I did and frame it as decor for a graduation party. The size of the print below is 18″ x 24″ and fits perfectly in that size frame. I had it printed at Office Max as an engineering print and it was less than $5. You wouldn’t even have to frame it – just wrap it around a piece of foam core board from The Dollar Tree and prop it against something on a tabletop or mantel.
I don’t have a graduate of my own this year, but I do have a few friends with children graduating and I’m going to print this on my home printer and pop it into an 8″ x 10″ frame as a gift to go along with a check or gift card.

What a wonderful sentiment for all the upcoming graduates!
