The phrase “It’s a Marshmallow World in the Winter” has become a beloved holiday saying during winter time, not just for its fun and jolly demeanor but also for its sentimentality. Whether you choose to get creative with decorating or simply try to capture its meaning in inspiring wall art, this four-word phrase is sure to bring some cheerful vibes into your home. Grab my free printable and decorate your house with some fun Christmas themed decor!
Wintertime is the perfect time to transform your coffee bar into a Hot Cocoa Bar (or add a hot chocolate section) and that is where I decided to hang my beautiful, DIY Marshmallow World sign!
It doesn’t matter if you enjoy singing the original Marshmallow World performed by Bing Crosby or if you prefer the classic from Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, while decorating the Christmas tree, you’ll enjoy hanging this fun Marshmallow World sign somewhere around your house.
If you haven’t heard the hit song, Marshmallow World, take a second and look on YouTube for it. You’ll see why it’s one of those novelty hits that deserves to be played as much as Little Saint Nick or Jingle Bell Rock and is the perfect inspiration for this fun winter decoration.

Where to get the free printable
The image here is watermarked because, unfortunately, these printables can be copied and posted on other websites, so I have to protect my work. I’ve posted the unmarked image in my FREE Printable Library!
I’ve made it super easy to access your free printable for this project.
Here are the instructions:
Click the link and once you have access to the library, go to the Winter section.
Once at the winter section, look just below at the first link and click that. It should automatically download it to your computer or prompt you to save it.
From there you can print it however you prefer.
Where do I get this printed?
The Marshmallow World winter printable is sized to be printed on an 8 1/2 x 11″ inch piece of paper from your home printer.
Or, you can have the image enlarged at your local Office Max, Staples, Walgreens, or Fed Ex print center.
Whatever option you choose make sure you use good quality materials so your sign looks good.
Can I decorate this print?
Absolutely! Have yourself a Merry little Christmas and decorate however you prefer. I liked adding the mini marshmallows for a fun and appropriate decoration.
If you do this, I would frame it without glass and glue marshmallows to the print like I did with my original painted sign above. I left the mini marshmallows dry out on a tray for a few days before I glued them to the sign, and I used just a drop of Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue to stick the marshmallows to the sign. It worked so well! Those marshmallows did not move!!!
You can decorate this fun decoration with whatever you have on hand and enjoy.
Do I need to frame my print?
Don’t worry if you don’t have a frame on hand—you can always make one out of repurposed wood or from a picture frame kit available at craft stores. If you do use a traditional wooden frame, be sure to finish the edges with paint or stain for a more polished look.
If you want to keep it simple and budget friendly, you can print on large cardstock and just use washi tape or double sided tape to hang it up on the wall!
You can leave this sign up for the whole year or at least for the whole winter season. It’s not just a Christmas decoration!
How should I store my print?
If you have an art print storage bag you can store it in that. Depending on the size of your print, you may have a folder large enough to store it in until the following year when it’s time to pull out the winter decor.
If you framed your print and it has glass, it should be fine to sit just framed in your decor storage area.
If you don’t have a dust cover, you may be able to store the frame in a pillow case for easy and fast storage.

Turn on your favorite Christmas song or grab the family’s favorite Christmas album, and check out any of these Christmas printables. My favorite holiday printable other than this Marshmallow one may have to be the Little Drummer Boy or the Noel printable. They would all make great Christmas decorations along with your O Holy Night Banner hung on your mantle, just waiting on your stockings.
Every winter wonderland needs a few good printables for decor. But, does your White Christmas have a Snow printable? It really helps complete the full room decor! If you don’t have one, check out the printable library again where you should have downloaded the Marshmallow World sign and you can find that specific winter printable and many, many more.
Take a sleigh ride down memory lane with your kids as you share your favorite Christmas traditions with them and take some time to make new ones together.
Another fun idea for you and the family to do together after you’ve hung your Marshmallow World sign is to make a homemade advent calendar. My favorite one to make was the Jesus Name Ornaments. I found 25 different names of Him in the bible and relevant verses to go with each one and made beautiful ornaments to share.
