I was inspired to make these when I saw a similar package of ornaments at Home Goods that were four flowers for $16.99. I actually had them in my cart! They were made of fabric with script writing and glitter and they were beautiful, but I just couldn’t pay the price. I knew that I could make something similar and save that money for something else!
I came home and began to experiment and the end result were music page paper poinsettias. Here is what you will need to make them.
Below is the printable music sheet with the flower petals already drawn on, so all you have to do is copy it to your desktop, print it on either ivory or white card stock and cut the petals out. You will need six petals for each flower.
Once cut out, use a small paint brush to apply glue to the edges of each petal and then sprinkle the glitter over the glue. Set aside until completely dry. Then, punch a hole near one end of each petal. Feed the petals onto the stamen stem. Once they are all on the stem, use a bit of hot glue to hold them in place. I bent the petals a bit to make them look a little more like the real thing. If you want a longer stem, attach a sturdy floral wire and wrap tightly with floral tape.
Earlier this week, I shared my Christmas Home Tour. If you missed it, you can see it HERE.
