Well, friends! The nighttime Christmas lights video tour has me beat! I’ve tried and tried and it’s just not going to happen – sigh! One of my goals for 2018 is to improve my photography and video skills. I would love to share more video tutorials here, but there’s a learning curve when it comes to editing video. But, that’s what’s great about a new year – setting goals and making a plan to reach those goals! So, in 2018, I’m going to be taking a class or two to learn how to create videos for the blog. I also want to improve my photography skills. I have a few classes that I plan to take and I’m really excited about them. Practice is an important part of growth in any skill. So, this year I want to stretch myself by taking photos of other homes. Natural light and layout of every home is different – thus the challenge. Since I don’t have a video tour to share with you today, I did want to share some photos that I recently took of a friend’s new home in downtown Lititz. I had so much fun taking these pics and I hope you’ll enjoy seeing some more holiday photos before the New Year! It was getting dark while I was taking these, so some of the photos are more of a nighttime shot, while others are brighter. I hope you enjoy taking a peek into this Lititz town home at Christmastime!
And, here are the people who get to live in this pretty space! Of course, I had to take a picture of them in front of the tree! And, you can see that portrait photography is another area where I need some growth – ha, ha!! Just being real here!
Thanks for stopping by today to tour this Lititz town home. I had so much fun taking these pictures and I hope you enjoyed seeing something other than my home for once! I hope to do more of this in the New Year!
A few years ago I took some photos of downtown Lititz in the snow at Christmastime! You can see those images HERE.
Well done with the new house pictures, nothing in life is perfect, relax! You captured the moment with mom and son! I like it.
Thanks so much, Laura!
Don’t feel bad. The nighttime Christmas tour isn’t necessary. Your Christmas tour was so gorgeous I am going to draw inspiration for next year!
Please thank this homeowner for letting us take a peek. It’s so beautiful and cozy. What a lovely space for the little boy to grow up in. We would enjoy other glimpses into houses. Thanks again and Happy New Year to all.
Thanks so much for taking the tour and for your sweet comments, Suzanne! Happy New Year!
WOW! Love the photos of T & H’s home!

Not to worry about the nighttime pics! Loved the share of your young family friends.
I’m so glad you liked it, Lee!
All of us have areas where growth is needed, and I admire you for “being real” with us, and also determining to make next year a learning one to achieve your goals!
Enjoyed this tour ~ this young mom has made a beautiful home, and also has begun to make wonderful memories for her sweet boy! Thanks, Doreen, and Happy New Year to this mom and her son, and to you and yours!
Thanks so much for your kind words, Kathleen! Happy New Year to you too!
Perfect❤️
What a pretty Christmas home she made for herself and her son. A big thank you to her for sharing.
Yes, she has! Thanks for taking the tour, Carolee!
Great photos and thank you for sharing with us!! Wish you luck in all you have planned for 2018 and can not wait to see what you have instore for us
Thanks so much, Norma! I so appreciate you!!!
Before I comment at the end of this neat tour an ad popped up — looked like an old 35mm camera drawn on a chalkboard. It said in chalk “Can you take a simple picture? “. I immediately thought 💭 ummm no. But this tour was by someone who can!!!
I liked seeing how your friend used simple things like clear ornaments and put something inside and put them in a white bowl. Her use of candles on unusual candlesticks. I liked how she put lights on the buffet (?) to simply shine. This was very kind of her to let us peek into her lovely home that has so many decor elements I like! Thank her for us.
I’m sorry for all the work you did on our behalf that did not work out. I like your positive attitude about plans for next year.
Happy New Year!!!
Beautiful house; beautiful photographs!!!
Happy 2018!
How sweet for these two to have a great friend like you.
Whatever they are going through you are Ther to help and encourage them both. She must have a decorating friend of the best quality.😍Keep up the good work ,Doreen. Blessings to all.
It’s just a perfect idea to decorate your home for Christmas. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing! I think few times a single photo clip express better way than a video. Each image you have shared saying several things which a video can’t.
Thanks, Julie!
