Make Your Own DIY Flower Food

I love this time of year when it seems like every day there is something new blooming in my yard and flower beds!  And, I really love to bring some of those fresh blooms indoors!  There’s nothing like  fresh flowers to brighten up a space!  And, to keep these blooms fresh for as long as possible, I like to make some DIY flower food!  It’s so easy to mix up with common ingredients.

The recipe for the DIY Flower Food is part of a post that I shared several years ago that also included seven tips to keep cut flowers fresh longer!  I’ve updated that post with some new photos of flowers that were given to me on Mother’s Day by my youngest son!  He picked up a gorgeous cut flower bouquet from a Lancaster County roadside stand!  And, they were just too pretty not to share!

Home and DEcor Encore

It’s Friday and that means it’s time for some fresh ideas from the Home and Decor Encore Team!  My blogging friends and I are sharing some of the top posts from our blog archives!    We’ve all been blogging for quite a few years and most of our newer readers have likely missed some great content from the early years!  So, we’re breathing new life into these posts by sharing them with you today!

In today’s posts, Lori of The Stonybrook House shows us how to install faux wood blinds, Laura from Duke Manor Farm shares easy to install porch screen panels, Cristina from RemodelaCasa is sharing a pretty patriotic tablescape (perfect for this weekend), and Christy from Our Southern Home shows us her patriotic screen porch.  To view each post, just click on the BOLD TITLE above each photo!   And, please pin from the original blog post and not the photos on this page!
