Amazing Retro Kitchen Appliances

They say everything old is new again and when it comes to our small kitchen appliances, it’s true!  Have you seen the new amazing retro kitchen appliances?   The most popular brand with a lot of home decor bloggers is SMEG.  But, the SMEG brand is definitely pricy and way more than what I want to pay.   So today, I’m sharing some other small kitchen appliance brands that have a vintage vibe!

My search began when I needed a new toaster.  I had seen the SMEG toasters and loved them, but when I saw the price, I walked away.   So, I began a search for an alternative to the SMEG brand.  What I found is both good and bad.  The SMEG brand definitely has the most coordinating products including refrigerators, coffee makes, juicers, blenders, and even a milk frother!  Here’s just a sampling.

SMEG ALTERNATIVE KITCHEN APPLIANCES

So, if you love the idea of having a totally coordinated kitchen with all matching retro appliances, the SMEG brand may be for you.  I admit, I do love the idea.  But, I simply cannot afford a $200 toaster.   So, here’s what I found as an alternative!  The Haden Heritage Toaster and matching electric kettle.   The combined price for both is still less than one SMEG toaster!

HADEN HERITAGE KITCHEN APPLIANCES

I have to say that I totally love my new toaster and matching electric kettle.  And, I don’t mind leaving these appliances on my kitchen counter!   The quality of both the toaster and the kettle is so good, and, I love the classic white!  And, in more exciting news, I have found a matching Haden Heritage coffee maker and microwave!

But, Haden also has some other color options in the Heritage collection of toasters and kettles.

HADEN DORCHESTER STYLE

Then, I discovered this 70’s style Haden microwave and matching coffee maker or coffee pot in mint and charcoal.  This is the Haden Dorchester style.   I love the Heritage style, but I know that my kids in their 20’s and 30’s would love the Dorchester style with it’s wood accents!

FRIGIDAIRE RETRO STYLES

Frigidaire is a brand that I was surprised to find with a retro line of small kitchen appliances.  The Frigidaire line colors are mainly black, white, red and turquoise

WESTINGHOUSE RETRO STYLES

And, another familiar brand, Westinghouse, has some retro small appliances.

What I found with these retro style brands is that a pure white is not as common as off white or ecru.  Since my kitchen is black and white, I really wanted a pure white.  Here’s a look at my counter with my Haden Heritage toaster and electric kettle. Even though the Haden description of these pieces is called ivory, they are really white in my opinion.

You can’t see the microwave or coffee maker in the above photos, but they sit to the left of my range. Mark and I don’t drink coffee, but I absolutely need to have a coffee maker for when our kids come over or we have other guests. My oldest son, who usually makes the coffee, was impressed with the coffee maker. As for the microwave, it is a smaller wattage microwave at 700 watts, but it works great for us. I love the look and especially the smaller size since we have a small kitchen. We use it mostly for heating up leftovers or to steam vegetables.

I hope you liked seeing these retro style kitchen appliances!    What do you think?   Do you like these kitchen small appliances with a vintage style?    And, don’t forget to PIN!
