If you are looking for a special breakfast treat for Valentine’s Day, I have the perect recipe for you today! This chocolate chip muffin recipe is so quick and easy to whip up and the muffins are moist and delicious!
I can’t believe it’s February 1! And, since it’s also the first Saturday of the month, that means I’m joining my friends for our Cozy Living Series. The first Saturday of each month we get together to share some cozy living seasonal ideas that you can incorporate into your own homes. As I was making plans for what I wanted to share for the month of February, I immediately thought about the holiday we celebrate each February 14 – Valentine’s Day! So, today I’m sharing a chocolate chip muffin recipe that was inspired by a Valentine’s Day gift from my sweetheart!
When Mark and I were first married we didn’t have much money. We married very young – I was 20 and he was 21. On our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, I was at work and came back from my lunch break to find a box with a bow on my desk. I opened the box to find a large, heart-shaped chocolate chip cookie! And, this was before bakeries had thought of the “cookie cake”! My sweet husband had made this heart shaped cookie himself! It was so special because it was made with love!
Made with Love
The act of making (or baking) something is a gift of love! Some Love’in from the Oven! So, I’m sharing this chocolate chip muffin recipe that was inspired by that heart shaped chocolate chip cookie! And, you can make them for your Valentine! This recipe makes a dozen muffins full of chocolatey goodness! I used milk chocolate chips when I made this batch, but you could use semi-sweet chips if you prefer! The muffins are moist and fluffy and are definitely a decadent treat – which makes them perfect for Valentine’s Day!
