Today, I want to share the sources for the fall vintage art that you saw in my fall home last week!
Vintage art that is in the public domain is free to download and print. There are, however, some sellers who sell public domain art and I’ve even purchased from some of them in the past. But, if you follow my tips, you can download vintage art for your home, size the art for a frame you have, and then have it printed affordably.
I spend quite a bit of time to find seasonal vintage art that coordinates well together so it can be used in a gallery wall or all on its own. I hope that you will enjoy the pieces that I choose as much as I do in my home. And, you won’t have to spend the time searching that I do. Below I am going to link two additional blog posts that will be helpful for you.
HOW TO MAKE A GALLERY WALL WITH VINTAGE ART
This post will give you online sources for finding vintage, public domain art. It also goes into detail about the frames I use and how I go about designing the layout for a gallery wall.
HOW TO RESIZE PUBLIC DOMAIN ART TO FIT ANY FRAME
This post gives the step-by-step process that I use to size the public domain art that I find online to fit the frames that I have.
Both of these posts are good for reference if you are going to download art to print for your home.
FALL VINTAGE ART USED IN MY HOME
Now, let’s talk about the art that I have displayed in my home for fall. The first piece I’ll share is the gorgeous equestrian art above the sofa in my living room.
Braumer im Stall by Emil Volkers (1900)
vintage art in my fall gallery wall.
Note that the coloring in the photo below is a little off. It was taken first thing in the morning at the “golden hour”.
3. Young girl at semi-circular table by Peter Ilsted. (1909)
4. Mother and child by Gari Melchers. (1906)
5. An Owl by Moses Haughton. (1734-1804)
6. Still Life with Two Apples by Edouard Manet. (1880)
7. Corner of a Farm by Vilhelm Hammershoi. (1864-1916)
8. Reposing Dog by Sigred Granfelt. (1894)
And, here’s a link where you can find the sources for the vintage art that I used in my home last year!
And, remember that you can also find the vintage autumn butterfly prints in my Free Printable Library.
