Wow – It’s finished! And, I’m so happy! I’m sitting at my new desk, in my new office, with the lights down low, and I love it! Just six weeks ago this room was an empty bedroom and in that short time it’s been transformed into a work space for me to create and blog! So, without further delay, here’s my home office reveal!
Be sure to check the “Shop My Home” page for items featured in this space!
This is the view from the door to the room. Along the left wall is the metal Windsor bench that I got at Target this summer. My new desk is under the only window in the room and I love the wood Roman shade that I can open and let the sunshine in! I flanked the window with shelves that I got at Ikea. I’ve used these simple wood shelf brackets before and I love the simple style. I’ve moved my fiddle leaf fig into my new space in hopes that it will like this room better than the living room where it has failed to grow! Below is another shot of the desk space.
I got the desk from Wayfair and the size is perfect for this room. The color is a soft off-white and I like it because it looks great with wallpaper in the room. The desk came with tiny silver knobs for the drawers and I didn’t really care for them. So, I picked up the black cup pulls from Ikea, and I think they make such a difference in the look of the desk.
The desk chair is also from Ikea. It’s the Henriksdal dining chair with the gray long slipcover. Because of my back surgery three years ago, I prefer a chair that has a high back. This
Mark made me this work table! It’s the perfect countertop height and has lots of storage inside for all of my craft supplies. The mirror is one that I had on hand. In the past I’ve used it above the mantel in the living room and in the dining room. But, for the past year, it’s been in the attic. It will work great to bring more natural light into the room when the Roman shade is open. In the photo below you can see my craft supplies stored inside the work table.
I almost forgot to mention the rug. This is another item that I was able to bring out of storage to use in this space. One of the reasons why I love keeping my decor in the same basic tones is that you can easily move things from room to room and they work! This rug is perfect in my new office! If you haven’t been following along, we removed the louvered closet doors and custom built these French doors. And, inside the closet, I added some interest by hanging buffalo check fabric on the wall with fabric starch. I’ve started to move some of my decor pieces into the closet, but I’m not quite finished. Here’s a peak of it today. I got the black boxes to store some smaller items – candles, small vases, etc.

I’m so jealous! It’s a beautiful room. My craft room remodel is on hold until after the holidays. But I’ve looked at some of the same items you’ve included in yours. Can’t wait to see what you crate in there.

I have two fiddle leaf fig trees. I keep them in front of or raised up near the window to give them light. They need water, let them get almost dry, pour two cups of water about at a time for the size of yours. Good luck!
Your office looks great

Beautiful! I love the theme of your little shelves, with the old cameras and the artwork! I would love to see the wall opposite the wallpapered wall. It looks like a seating space, but . . . ? Very inviting room.
